Shruthi Cauvery Joins the Jury at Google Cloud Agentic AI Day

Google Cloud Agentic AI Day, organised in partnership with Hack2skill, brought together developers and builders exploring the practical applications of agentic AI. Shruthi Cauvery, Founder and Partner of Vaia, joined the jury on 26 and 27 July 2025, alongside Amit Tikkiwal, Prafull Billore, Jaswinder Singh, and Rikant Pittie.

The event focused on a shift that is increasingly defining the next phase of artificial intelligence: AI moving beyond systems that simply generate answers towards systems capable of reasoning across information, interacting with tools, and supporting multi-step workflows.

Judging the city-data challenge

As part of the jury, Shruthi evaluated teams developing solutions for complex data and information challenges, including the 'managing city data overload' problem. The problem reflects a wider issue facing organisations today: information is abundant, but turning fragmented data into useful action remains difficult.

Agentic systems have the potential to change this by enabling AI to work across multiple sources, retrieve relevant information, perform tasks, and support decisions within defined workflows.

Vaia's angle on agents

For Vaia, this direction closely aligns with the company's own work on specialised AI. The most valuable enterprise systems will not simply be general-purpose assistants: they will need to understand domain-specific context, connect to relevant information, and operate within the workflows where important decisions are made.

Vaia builds agentic systems for a domain where a wrong answer has consequences, so its view is a practical one: agents earn their place when the workflow around them supplies grounding, checkable steps, and a review gate. Participation in Google Cloud Agentic AI Day reflected Vaia's engagement with the growing ecosystem of researchers, developers, and companies building the next generation of AI systems.
