Shruthi Cauvery on Women and Entrepreneurship with TiE Delhi-NCR

TiE Delhi-NCR is one of the larger chapters of The Indus Entrepreneurs, running programming for founders and investors across northern India. Shruthi Cauvery joined Neha Kant, Lakshmi Iyer, Nemesisa Ujjain, and Anshita Mehrotra on a panel on women entrepreneurship, contributing to a conversation about the opportunities and challenges shaping the experiences of women building companies in India.

Drawing from her own entrepreneurial journey, Shruthi reflected on the evolution of India's startup ecosystem and the changing support available to women founders.

India has made significant progress in building a more visible entrepreneurial culture. Access to startup communities, mentorship, and funding networks has expanded, particularly in major technology and business centres.

At the same time, opportunity remains uneven. Women entrepreneurs can still face barriers in accessing capital, building professional networks, and navigating the expectations that often accompany leadership and entrepreneurship.

The discussion explored the importance of supportive ecosystems and the role that investors, founders, institutions, and communities can play in creating more pathways for women to build and lead companies.
