The Vaia Agentic AI Residency Program

The Vaia Agentic AI Residency Program is a 9-week, fully funded, in-person residency based in Bangalore, run with Hack2skill as co-organiser. It is zero-equity: Vaia does not take a stake in what residents build. The program offers mentorship, AI and cloud credits, and hands-on product building. Applications closed on 31 October 2025.

The first cohort was made up of eight graduates drawn from the IITs, NITs, BITS, IIITs, and other top engineering schools.

Residents build agentic AI systems against real problems from Vaia's domains rather than toy datasets. That means multi-step agents that plan, call tools, read documents, check their own work, and produce an output a professional would actually sign.

• Investment analysis and screening.
• Due diligence over data rooms and public filings.
• Portfolio monitoring from board packs and MIS.
• Sustainability reporting workflows across BRSR, GRI, and TCFD.

Agentic systems for finance and sustainability need builders who understand both the engineering and the domain. That combination is rare, so Vaia is helping create it. The program also lets Vaia work closely with strong engineers on problems it cares about.
